Laughter, loyalty and vision are three of the special ingredients that have helped create the happy and dedicated staff at Tapora School. Given that all four of the permanent teaching staff, including the principal, Mrs Bridgette Rika,  were new recruits in 2005, it is quite an achievement and perhaps somewhat unique that they are such a close knit, professional team all heading in the same direction. 

Included in that team is the School Secretary, Mrs Ngaire Jones Sports Co-ordinator/ Teacher Aide, Pete Wynwood and Teacher Aide Pam Hogg each of whom are valued contributors to the children and their learning enviironment. All  members of staff are excited to be individually and corporately involved with Tapora School’s journey into 2006 and beyond. 

At the core of the school’s Strategic Educational Goals and Plans are the children and their individual learning needs. This focus, combined with a broadly experienced staff and low class numbers enables a curriculum delivery for students which exhibits very specific learning intentions and incorporates both personal challenge and support for the individual.
